SeqGen is proud to have hosted a successful International Narcotics & Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State and U.S Department of Justice Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program forensic development assistance course to the Iraq Ministry of Interior - Criminal Evidence Division (MoI-CED) DNA Unit. This course, completed by sixteen Iraqi forensic DNA analysts and their Major General, provided competency in the independent professional maintenance of genetic analyzers for criminal forensic DNA profiling. This course was vital towards the MoI-CED DNA Unit’s ISO/IEC 17025:2017 technical and management compliance.
This specially designed SeqGen course was carried out during two weeks in August 2019. The ability to independently maintain and repair the genetic analyzers will ensure the continued operational capability of the Iraqi DNA Unit in their efforts to fight against terrorism through the use of DNA profiling and databasing. Dr. George Yang, SeqGen founder and chief engineer, along with a team of nine of our experienced engineers worked individually with all participants on the technical aspects, repair service, and maintenance solutions allowing the training successful completion. Our facility was able to provide the classrooms, workshop space, conference room, a large inventory of refurbished capillary sequencers (available to practice during the training) as well as coordinating housing, transportation, and catering during the course.
SeqGen has 20 years of experience in the industry and is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Our team is proud to have applied their support and technical skills for such an important cause.
SeqGen is open to your training requests. Feel free to contact the sales department at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
